Case Studies

Firmin Coates

When Firmin Coates decided to relocate their Northern offices to the second floor of their warehouse distribution hub in the North of England, Mode came recommended by the Electrical contractors I G Electrical. IG Electrical has built a relationship with us over many years. The installation at Firmin Coates was complicated by multiple segregated networks being located within one office with strict confidentiality required across the systems two networks where installed into one office using shielded Cat5e cable.

Stokers

The largest furniture shop in Chester opened in 2008 becoming the flagship store for this prestigious brand. Mode won this highly sought after contract on recommendation from another client. The installation involved Cat5e installing over 4 km of cable across the giant store. Mode also installed and supplied the PA and in-store music system which involved the installation of speakers across the whole store and rack mounted audio equipment.

TDG

TDG recently involved mode to certify and fault find a new installation of Cat5e cabling. The requirement was to provide a certified installation and test for full 1gb (1000 mgps). The actual cable was installed by the electrical contractor IG Electrical with Modes test engineers certifying the installation at completion.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army contacted us in 2010 when a requirement was made for an office at the far end of a large building to have internet access. After receiving quotes from two other companies we won the project not only on price but our technical knowledge, once we explained that the other companies had not planned the installation with external UV cat5e. The cable is made suitable for external use by sheathing it with Polyethylene. This can withstand the outside elements, being a tough material resistant to water, moisture, oil and also aberration resistant. The cables where to be installed over the roof of a flat roofed 3 storey building so using the correct cable was important.
